Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Teaching Assistant – Mainstream Primary
Chorley | Axcis Education | £93+ per day
Axcis Education is recruiting for a friendly, reliable and proactive Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in Chorley.
This is a varied role supporting across a number of classes, working with small groups and providing whole-class support. Occasional 1:1 support may also be required, so flexibility and the ability to adapt to different pupils and situations is essential.
You will:
• Support teachers with learning activities across different classes.
• Work with small groups to reinforce learning and build confidence.
• Provide whole-class support and help maintain a positive learning environment.
• Occasionally provide individual support to pupils with additional needs.
• Adapt your approach to meet different pupils' needs.
• Build positive relationships with children and staff.
• Be proactive, flexible and willing to get stuck in.
We are looking for someone with:
• At least 6 months' personal or professional experience supporting children with SEN – essential.
• A good understanding of SEND and the ability to support pupils with a range of needs.
• A confident, positive and flexible approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to work across different year groups and classroom environments.
• An Enhanced Child/Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
• Reliable ability to commute to Chorley.
