Job Title: Trauma Learnign Mentor
Axcis Education are working closely to support a secondary trauma informed provision for students with complex social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs in Torbay. The school are looking for a Trauma Learning Mentor on a full time basis, starting as soon as possible.The rate of pay will be between £90-£105 a day, depending on previous experience and qualifications. The hours are 8.30-16.00.
For this position, we are looking for applicants who:
• Have strong relational skills, forming trusting relationships with students with complex SEMH needs.
• Have a positive attitude and approach towards promoting strategies for students to self regulate.
• Are resilient and robust attitude.
• Are a fantastic team player
About the School:
•The school are working to support secondary aged and sixth form students with complex social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
•All students have an Education & Health Care Plan (EHCP), and provide close supported and differentiated provision to meet their needs.
•The school have a bespoke curriculum offering, including an outstanding food technology curriculum, Art curriculum, music curriculum and P.E curriculum.
•The school have a very supportive culture, with all staff commenting on the unity and support from colleagues and the leadership team.
