Job Title: Youth Mental Health Support Worker
Teaching Assistant | Brislington, Bristol | £14.25 per hour | Full-time Are you passionate about helping young people build confidence, manage challenges and reach their potential? We are looking for a Youth Mental Health Support Worker to join a specialist education setting in Brislington, Bristol, supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). This is a great opportunity for a graduate, carer, support worker, youth worker, sports coach or Teaching Assistant who wants to make a genuine difference. You do not need extensive experience in education. We are more interested in your personality, values and motivation to support young people. The role As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils throughout the school day. You will help create a calm, positive environment where young people feel listened to, respected and able to learn. The setting provides personalised support for pupils who may have found mainstream education difficult. Learning is designed around individual needs and includes opportunities for practical, real-world experiences, outdoor education and activities linked to sport and future employment. The latest Ofsted inspection found that the setting was likely to meet all independent school standards. Ofsted also highlighted its focus on pupils with SEMH needs, personalised learning, an outdoor classroom, access to sports facilities and practical facilities including construction and hair and beauty.
