Axcis are looking for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work closely with a 15-year-old boy, providing academic support and fostering engagement in his learning. This role is not focused on behavioural management but rather on helping the student engage with his studies, stay on track, and reach his full academic potential. The ideal candidate will have experience working with secondary school students and be proactive in offering personalised support to enhance their learning experience. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one academic support across various subjects. Help the student stay focused and engaged during lessons and activities. Adapt teaching methods to suit the student's individual learning needs. Assist with homework, assignments, and revision. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages the student's academic growth. Collaborate with teachers to track progress and identify areas for improvement. Ideal Candidate: Previous experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar support role. Strong understanding of secondary school curriculum. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patient, empathetic, and able to adapt to the needs of the student. Proactive, with the ability to encourage and motivate the student in their studies.
