Job Title: SEMH Learning Support Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant team at a dynamic school in Worcester (WR4). As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to students, helping them to achieve their full potential. The school provides exceptional support for their students, building their confidence by providing very small classes, to ensure every student needs are met. The ideal candidate will have experience with SEN, a proactive mindset, and the ability to adapt their approach to support each student's unique learning journey. Empathetic, resilience, and a positive attitude are essential for fostering student success. Key responsibilities: • Working 1:1 or in small groups with students who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including Autism, ADHD, Challenging Behaviour, and SEMH needs • Support students in accessing the curriculum, helping them with their learning, engagement, and personal development • Assist the class teacher in adapting learning materials to meet individual student needs • Provide emotional and behavioural support to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment • Encourage social interaction and engagement in classroom activities. What We’re Looking For: • Experience working in an educational or support setting (schools, care, youth work, residential etc) • A willingness to adapt and work flexibly in different school environments. • Experience with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, or complex needs is highly desirable • Pay (Starting from £83.40 per day (PAYE) dependent on experience and relevant qualifications This is a Monday-Friday role working the hours of 8.30am-3.30pm.
