My client are a mainstream college located in South Croydon. They are now looking to recruit both full time and part time learning support assistants to assist and support Curriculum staff in a number of different departments across the College. As a Learning Support Assistant you will help the College to provide a quality learning environment with the ultimate aim of raising levels of attainment. The role will involve working with learners with a variety of support needs, including those with emotional and behavioural needs, learning difficulties and those who have disengaged from mainstream education. This rewarding role will suit dedicated and self-motivated individuals, who really want to make a difference. You will provide support to students across a broad spectrum of curriculum subject areas, including and not limited to; Art, Design and Media, Business & Professional Studies, Technology, Supported Learning, Service Industries such as Hair & Beauty, Sports, Science. Industry experience in any of these areas would be an advantage. The successful candidate must: •Have excellent communication skills • Have competent IT Skills and the ability to use Word, Excel and Outlook • Experience of supporting students in a College or School environment Pay is £14.66 per hour.
