Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic school in Blandford Forum. This is a great opportunity for a passionate individual who enjoys working with children and supporting their learning journey. You will work closely with teachers, helping to create a positive and engaging classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
Work with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning
Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
Prepare learning materials and resources
Provide additional support to students with special educational needs (SEN)
Support students' social and emotional development
Supervise students during break times and school activities
Help maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements:
Previous experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential
A passion for education and working with children
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff
A patient, positive, and proactive attitude
