Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HLTA/Cover Supervisor to join our dynamic team in a full-time capacity. You will be based in Chigwell, London, and will be required to play a pivotal role in supporting teaching staff and students across various departments within our educational setting. The ideal candidate must possess a strong background in classroom management and delivering educational support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom supervision in the absence of the subject teacher, ensuring that the pupils are on task and that the work set is completed to a high standard.
- Support students with special educational needs, enabling all learners to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
- Work collaboratively with teachers to plan and deliver educational activities.
- Assist in the assessment, recording, and reporting of pupils' progress and development.
- Contribute to creating a positive, secure, and happy learning environment for all students.
- Encourage positive student behaviour in line with school policies and manage any immediate issues.
- Utilize a range of strategies to foster and maintain a constructive environment conducive to effective learning.
- Participate in and contribute to team meetings and professional development sessions, enhancing your skills and knowledge as an educational professional.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an HLTA/Cover Supervisor is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
- Ability to manage classrooms and confidently, maintaining order and discipline.
- Resilience, adaptability, and the capacity to work flexibly under varying circumstances.
- A relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent is preferable.
- Enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) or willingness to undergo one.
