Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15 am - 3:45 pm
A mainstream primary school in Brent is seeking a Medical Lead to join their dedicated team, starting in January. This role is pivotal in ensuring the health and well-being of pupils and staff within a supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend to the clinical needs of pupils and others who visit the Medical Room.
- Communicate effectively with the School Nurse, parents, and carers to ensure the highest standards of care.
- Implement routine procedures in line with the school’s medical and first aid policy.
- Follow Individual Health Care Plans for pupils with specific medical needs.
- Support the holistic well-being of all pupils across the school.
- Assist in maintaining an efficient and smooth-running medical care service.
- Provide a high standard of service to pupils, families, staff, and visitors.
Requirements:
- Experience working in education, childcare provision, or paediatric healthcare.
- Competency in the administration of medication.
- Ability to administer medication via PEG (training can be provided if required).
- Current First Aid at Work Qualification.
- Paediatric First Aid Qualification (desirable; training can be provided).
- A Nursing Qualification is desirable but not essential.
