Job Title: Midday Meal Supervisor
Midday Meal Supervisor – Academy – Romford
£12–£14/hour | Romford | 11:30am–2:00pm | Term Time Only | Ongoing
Axcis are working with a welcoming academy in Romford who are seeking a reliable and caring Midday Meal Supervisor to join their pastoral team. The academy places strong emphasis on pupil wellbeing, positive behaviour and inclusive practice, and staff describe it as a friendly, well-organised environment where teamwork is valued.
The school is easily accessible via public transport, making it a convenient role for local candidates.
In this role, you will be:
• Supervising pupils during lunchtime in the dining hall, playground and indoor spaces.
• Supporting positive behaviour and encouraging good manners and social interaction.
• Assisting younger pupils where needed with routines such as lining up or returning to class.
• Ensuring pupils are safe, happy and supported during unstructured time.
• Working closely with teaching and pastoral staff to maintain a calm, consistent approach.
What we’re looking for:
• Previous experience working with children (school, childcare or similar).
• A calm, friendly and approachable manner.
• Good communication skills and awareness of safeguarding.
• Reliability and consistency during the school week.
