Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant (Slough)
We are recruiting on behalf of a fantastic school in central Slough looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH needs. This is a full-time role (8:30 – 4:00, Monday to Friday), perfect for someone with experience working with children displaying challenging behaviour who can provide strong behaviour management and a calm, nurturing approach. Responsibilities: • Supporting pupils with SEMH needs, helping them engage in learning and social activities • Managing challenging behaviour in a positive and effective manner • Building strong relationships with students to create a safe and supportive learning environment • Assisting the class teacher in delivering tailored interventions and classroom activities • Providing emotional and pastoral support to pupils as needed Some experience working with SEND students is required and while a Level 2 or 3 TA qualification is beneficial, it is not essential.
