As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: • Provide dedicated one-to-one support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN) • Adapt learning activities to meet the child's individual needs and learning style • Support children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, communication needs or other additional learning needs • Encourage independence, confidence and active participation in classroom activities • Work alongside the class teacher and SENCo to deliver personalised learning plans • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing using consistent support strategies • Help develop social, communication and interaction skills • Monitor progress and contribute to pupil reviews and support plans • Create a calm, nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child can succeed We are looking for someone who: • Has previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role • Has experience supporting children with SEND within a primary school or educational setting • Is patient, compassionate and adaptable • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Can build positive, trusting relationships with children, staff and parents • Works confidently both independently and as part of a team • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare Desirable • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification • Experience supporting children with Autism (ASC), ADHD or speech and language needs • Knowledge of positive behaviour support strategies Why Join This School?
