Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant (Reading)
We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEND school in Reading looking for a flexible and proactive teaching assistant to join their team. The school supports students of all ages, from primary to post-16, with a range of complex needs, including PMLD, ASD, communication difficulties and challenging behaviour. About the Role: • Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 – 3:30 • Working across different age groups, depending on school needs • Supporting students with personal care, sensory needs and communication challenges • Assisting teachers in delivering tailored learning and development support • Managing challenging behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment What We’re Looking For: • At least three months of experience working with children or adults with special needs • A flexible approach and willingness to work across primary, secondary and post-16 • Comfortable providing personal care when required • Strong communication and teamwork skills This is a fantastic opportunity to join a welcoming and well-supported school, making a real impact on the lives of children and young people with additional needs.
