Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant (Windsor)
An all-ages SEND school in Windsor is looking for a passionate and resilient SEND teaching assistant to join their team, supporting pupils with complex needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviours. This full-time role (8:30 – 3:30, Monday to Friday) is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and can provide both structure and a nurturing presence for students with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supporting pupils with a range of SEND, helping them access learning and develop social skills
• Using positive behaviour strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging situations
• Adapting communication styles to meet the individual needs of each student
• Working closely with teachers and therapists to implement tailored learning strategies
• Assisting with personal care and ensuring pupils feel safe, valued and supported
Experience working with SEND students is essential, and while formal qualifications such as a Level 2 or 3 TA certificate are beneficial, they are not required. The school provides a welcoming and inclusive environment, where teamwork and a child-centred approach are at the heart of everything they do.
If you have the patience, energy and skills to support students with complex needs and want to make a meaningful impact, we’d love to hear from you! Apply today to learn more.
