Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our supportive educational team in Wandsworth, London. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Key Responsibilities:
• Support individual students and small groups with diverse learning needs, ensuring accessibility and engagement in the curriculum.
• Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement tailored learning plans that promote the academic, social, and emotional growth of students.
• Assist in the preparation of classroom resources and provisions, adapting materials to suit varied learning styles.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required.
• Uphold the school’s ethos and contribute positively to a collaborative atmosphere among staff and students.
Qualifications:
• Experience working with children with SEND in an educational setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and resilience.
