Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at Shepperton Surrey. As a vital member of our educational staff, you will support children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored educational programmes for children with SEND.
• Provide individual and group support to facilitate engagement and participation in classroom activities.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and external professionals to create and implement effective learning strategies.
• Monitor and track student progress, reporting any concerns to the class teacher and relevant staff.
• Foster a positive learning atmosphere, encouraging independence and social interaction among students.
• Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in SEND education.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Relevant experience working in an educational setting, particularly with children with SEND.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and adaptability.
• A commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within the classroom.
