SEND Teaching Assistant – Primary – Rainham, Havering £100–£115 per day | Full-Time | Long-Term | Rainham Axcis Education is recruiting an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to work within a primary school in Rainham, Havering, supporting pupils with a range of additional learning and developmental needs. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for someone who is confident supporting children with Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs and additional learning difficulties, both on a 1:1 basis and within small groups. The school is looking for someone who is patient, proactive and able to build strong relationships with children, while working closely with teaching staff to help pupils access learning and become more independent. About the Role Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 Working with children with Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs and additional learning difficulties Providing 1:1 and small-group support Helping pupils access phonics, literacy, numeracy and wider classroom learning Supporting communication, focus and emotional regulation Using visual resources and structured routines where appropriate Following individual EHCP targets and support strategies Helping pupils manage transitions throughout the school day Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider SEND team Encouraging children to develop confidence, communication and independence About You We would particularly like to hear from candidates who: Have previous experience as a SEND TA, LSA or similar support professional Have strong school-based SEND experience Have supported pupils with Autism or additional learning needs Are confident working 1:1 and with small groups Can adapt their approach around the individual child Are calm, patient and comfortable using initiative Hold a CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 qualification – highly desirable but not essential Can commit to a full-time, long-term position The School & Location The role is based within a primary school in Rainham, Havering, with good transport links from Romford, Hornchurch, Dagenham, Upminster and surrounding East London and Essex areas.
