Job Title: Teacher Location: Salisbury, Wiltshire, UK Contract: Full-Time Start Date: September Salary: Main Pay Scale Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and Teacher with a genuine passion for special education to work with students who have a range of needs, including learning disabilities, complex needs, ASC and SEMH. You will be part of an inclusive school that covers Early Years to Key Stage 5, fostering an environment where each student can achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the various needs and learning styles of students with SEND. - Implement Individual Education Plans and differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners. - Use a variety of instructional strategies and resources, including technology, to enhance students' learning experiences. - Work collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and multi-disciplinary teams to promote student progress and well-being. - Establish and maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment. - Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records of their achievements and areas for development. - Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and professionals regarding students' learning and progress. - Participate in professional development opportunities to further knowledge and skills related to SEND education. Qualifications and Skills: - Must possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). - Proven experience working in a SEND environment with students with a wide range of needs. - An understanding of the national curriculum across Early Years to Key Stage 5. - Strong commitment to inclusive education principles and practices. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to manage challenging behavior effectively and with patience. - Resilience, creativity, and adaptability to work within a dynamic and sometimes challenging environment.
