SEN Teaching Assistant – Chingford (E4)
Start Date: After October Half-Term 2025
Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Full-time, long-term
A dynamic secondary school in the Chingford area (E4) is seeking a resilient and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their specialist team full-time immediately after the October half-term break.
This role sits within the school’s dedicated SEMH provision, supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as challenging behaviour. You’ll work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to provide calm, consistent support—helping students regulate their emotions, re-engage with learning, and build confidence in and beyond the classroom.
We’re looking for someone who:
-Has experience supporting secondary-aged pupils with SEMH needs and/or behavioural challenges
-Brings a calm, confident, and supportive approach to behaviour management
-Communicates effectively and uses positive strategies to de-escalate situations
-Is passionate about helping every young person achieve their potential
