Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to work at a secondary school in Chingford. The school is committed to providing a safe, supportive environment for students with SEMH and Complex Needs. As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will help create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Support: Collaborate with teachers and therapists to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and manage student behaviour.
Assist: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students in class, working with young people facing trauma and SEMH challenges.
Hours: Full-time position, 8:20 AM – 4 PM, Monday to Friday.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience or training in special education, child development, or related fields is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and empathetic skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a focus on supporting a positive school culture.
