Teaching Assistant - Mainstream Primary School in Brent Position: Teaching Assistant (Supporting a Year 5 Student with Physical Disabilities) Location: Brent, London Start Date: ASAP Salary: Competitive, based on experience We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at a mainstream primary school in Brent. The role primarily involves supporting a young male student in Year 5 who has physical disabilities and uses a walker. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special needs. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one support for a Year 5 male student with physical disabilities. (he uses a walker) Assist the student during weekly swimming lessons, including being comfortable in the pool and managing personal care/changing. (you will be responsible for taking the student to and from the lesson, changing him for the lesson and supporting in the pool) Offer in-classroom support to help the student engage with the curriculum and maximize their learning experience. Potential to assist other students in the school with physical and more complex needs. Candidate Requirements: Experience or strong interest in working with children with special needs. Comfortable providing personal care and support in the pool. A background or keen interest in sports, ideal for a sports coach or someone passionate about physical education.
