Teaching Assistant – SEND School (Full-Time, Term Time)
Location: Wimborne, Dorset
Start Date: March 2026
Pay: £90–£95 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30–15:30 (Term Time Only)

This specialist school supports pupils aged 4–19 with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), SEMH, ADHD, and associated learning and communication needs. The school is known for its inclusive, nurturing approach and commitment to helping every pupil reach their full potential.
The Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to:
Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups
Assist with the delivery of tailored learning programmes and EHCP targets
Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement
Support pupils’ academic progress, social development, and independence
Help create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience working with children or young people with SEND, or a strong interest in doing so
Is patient, resilient, and calm in challenging situations

Is eager to learn and develop within a specialist education setting
