Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
1:1 Teaching Assistant Location: Primary School, Bridport Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm Pay: £89 – £95 per day We are seeking a caring and motivated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bridport. This is a rewarding role working 1:1 with a KS1 pupil who has Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, helping them to flourish both academically and emotionally. About the Role: - Provide tailored one-to-one support for a KS1 pupil with SEMH needs - Work alongside the class teacher to deliver learning activities and create a supportive classroom environment -Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and social confidence -Support with classroom preparation, small group activities, and playtime supervision - Observe and record progress, contributing to the pupil’s personalised support plan We are looking for someone who: - Has a patient, empathetic approach and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs - Can work well as part of a team and follow teacher guidance - Is proactive, positive, and committed to helping every child succeed - Holds a full driving licence and has access to transport - Experience supporting children with SEMH needs is desirable, but full training will be provided What We Offer: - A friendly and supportive team who will welcome and guide you - Comprehensive training and professional development opportunities - A chance to make a real and lasting difference to a child’s education and wellbeing If you are passionate about helping children thrive and want to join a school where you will be supported every step of the way, we would love to hear from you.
