We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Complex Needs Teacher to join our team at a specialized educational facility in Sutton, London. This role requires a compassionate professional who is adept at managing challenging behaviors and delivering personalized learning to students with a variety of complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Develop multi-sensory resources and apply innovative teaching methods to engage learners and facilitate progress.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists and support staff, to ensure a holistic approach to education.
- Continuously monitor and record student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to promote optimal development.
- Manage challenging behaviors with patience and effective behavior management techniques, maintaining a safe and supportive classroom environment.
- Foster strong relationships with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on student progress and collaborating on strategies for support outside of the classroom.
Essential Qualifications:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification recognized in the UK.
- Proven experience in managing challenging behaviors within an educational setting.
- Strong commitment to inclusive practices and the individual success of each student.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
