Hours: Monday to Thursday, 9:00am – 3:30pm
Contract: Ongoing / Long-term / Temp-to-perm

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Catering Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming SEND college in Bromley (BR2). The college supports students with a range of complex needs, including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Down syndrome, autism, and other developmental conditions.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you will support learners as they develop essential life and vocational skills within a working kitchen environment. You will play a key part in ensuring students are engaged, supported and learning safely.
Key Responsibilities
Support students in reading and following recipes clearly and accurately.
Check that learners are chopping, preparing, and cooking food correctly and safely.
Ensure food orders are accurate and sent out on time.
Liaise effectively with the chef and other staff to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
Encourage independence while providing structured and consistent support.
Maintain a calm, positive and inclusive atmosphere for students with varying needs.
About You
The ideal candidate will be:
Experienced in catering, hospitality or food preparation (essential).
Ideally experienced in working within a school, college or SEND environment.
Able to take direction and follow instructions effectively.
Resilient, empathetic and not easily offended.
Clear and confident in spoken English.
Able to use initiative and pick things up quickly.
