We are looking to employ an enthusiastic and flexible Nursery Practitioner on behalf of an Infant School in St Helens. This is a full-time position and additional hours may be offered to cover staff holidays/ sickness etc. Applicants must have a Level 3 in Childcare & Education or the equivalent (will not be considered without this qualification) or above. Applicants need to be available to work between 7.15am - 6.00pm and be able to attend regular staff meetings and training courses outside these working hours. The successful candidate will need to: Be creative and flexible and provide innovative childcare. To work as an effective team member, delivering flexible, and high quality education and care to meet the needs of the children and their families and following the requirements of the EYFS. To be involved fully in all activities and day to day routines. To undertake observations, assessments and complete all record keeping as appropriate using our online systems. Attend and contribute to staff meetings, attend staff training and development activities and keep up to date with all current childcare issues and changes. We are looking for someone with a good knowledge of the EYFS to work with children from 3mths - 5 years. You will be required to interact with children, colleagues and parents. A sense of humour and good communication skills are essential. To work for us you will need to complete a one hour registration meeting and show that you have a DBS on the update service. If your DBS isn't on the update service you will need to get a new one and provide a minimum of two references.
